A brief moment of darkness
was all that I knew,
before Heaven's Gate
came into my view.

Loved ones and friends
I had missed for many years,
welcomed me with open arms
and many happy tears.

All the hurt, fear and pain
that I have ever known,
is gone from my life,
I am finally home.

I gazed upon the Lord's
sweet smiling face,
and for the first time in my life
I knew and felt His grace.

I know that you miss me,
but please dry your eyes.
I will always be watching and loving you
from my home in the sky.

A cool breeze on your face,

When angels came from heaven
And flew away with you
We were left heartbroken
Not knowing what to do

There was no warning signs
Just a pair of pure white wings
And now we miss you very much
And all the joy you used to bring

Its a place you used to be

hey dad just on to leev luv on ur page, xx logan had me in tears this morning:( he hugged ur picture and sayd i luv u daddy and i sayd logan ats papa not ur daddy n he sayd it is my daddy stephens not my dad anymore papa is:( it was a wee shame, he misses u soo much as i do aswell:( umtimes logans sits on floor n toks to some1 n says its u hes tokin too, so thanx fur being there for him n tokin to him all e time ! i love u dad and hope u r well up there in paradise and lookin after aunt carole xxx luv u n miss u so much xx

and saw two twinkling stars,

I thought about the distance
of Jupiter and Mars.

I thought how far was heaven
was it further than these two

I wondered just how far it was
to Gods garden and to you.

I know one day I'll find out
just how far I'll need to travel,

I know that God one day for me
this mystery will unravel

Until that day I'll miss you

To All Parents

“I’ll lend you for a little time
A child of mine,” He said.
“For you to love the while they live
And mourn when they are dead,

“It may be six or seven years,
Or twenty-two or three.
“But will you, till I call them back,
Take care of them for me?

“They’ll bring their charms to gladden you,
But should their stay be brief,
“You’ll have their lovely memories,
As solace for your grief,

“I cannot promise they will stay,
Since all from earth return,
“But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.

“I’ve looked the wide world over
In my search for teachers true,
“And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes
I have selected you.

“Now will you give them all your love,
Nor think the labour vain,
“Nor hate me when I come to call
To take them back again?

I fancied that I heard them say:
Dear Lord, Thy will be done!
“For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we’ll run.

We’ll shelter them with tenderness:
We’ll love them while we may,
And for happiness we’ve known
Forever grateful stay.

“But should the angels call for them
Much sooner than we’d planned.
“We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand.”
